American Mink Mustela vison

An American Mink poking it's head out of straw along a creek bed. American Minks are members of the weasel family and catch rodents, fish, crustaceans, birds and amphibians for food. Once highly sought after for their soft fur, the demand has waned in recent decades and the species has benefited accordingly.
