Partridge Island Lighthouse Saint John New Brunswick Steam Devil

A massive arctic fog or sea smoke vortex spirals up several hundred feet into the air and just behind the Partridge Island Lighthouse. Partridge Island Quarantine Station was designated a national historic site of Canada in 1974. This was because of the significant role it played in immigration to the Maritime Provinces in the 19th century.
